The chances of dying from Covid-19 are estimated to be 1/2321. I don't even know what the hell that means. Does that mean that one out of every two thousand three-hundred some people are going to die? If that is the case, I better worry more about dying on my birthday! They say that Shakespeare did, but recordkeeping back then was iffy. I always thought it would be cool to die on the same day I was born. Sure would be a "grave stopper" for the living! What does this have to do with Merle Haggard? As my mama always said: "Look it up!".

I guess this was "horrid!" to my Great-Aunt Eleanor, born in the 1890's. That was her vocal sentiment anyway, when the song came on the car radio, as we pulled into Rehoboth Beach, Delaware in the summer of 1966. Heck, I remember my aunties being absolutely appalled by the Ultra Brite commercial that gave your teeth "sex appeal"! As I sit here listening to the "BOOM BOOM BOOM" coming from the other side of the common wall that I share with my twentysomething neighbor, Aunt Eleanor, I feel your pain! I am happy that I was born when I was, as I am sure that my Great-Aunt Eleanor was. Each generation has their trials and tribulations. I wish the best to my "kith and kin"...
