"How the hell did you people get on this show?"...

Black-out Wednesday/Thanksgiving Thursday/Black Friday

HAPPY THANKSGIVING, Y'ALL!!! Black-out Wednesday is the day before Turkey Day. It is also one of the busiest days for the bar industry (unless you happen to live in PA. in 2020). The liquor flows as returning college students prove once again that they learned nothing from their "institutes of higher indoctrination" and regulars do more of the same. Black Friday: Your best chance to get a black eye from a total stranger, while fighting over a 60" T.V. that could have been had much cheaper in the comfort of your own home off the internet.

July 10, 1962 - President John F. Kennedy attends the 32nd All Star Base...

I was "too young" to attend, but my Granddaddy, my brother, my mom and my dad (on his 48th birthday, no less) were there. My mom's take on the day: "I had no idea that his hair was so red!"... Should have left her home and taken me! LOL

False Memory Phenomenon...

When I first heard about the "pussy story", I was like "Yeah, I remember that" (I really do!). Then the internet came out and told me that I did not see that (but I did!) I guess if it is not on youtube or verified by snopes (and now facebook), my memory is false. Whatever... The following memory has not been debunked by youtube, snopes (or facebook), so I'm sticking to it! When my family moved in 1968, our "new" house had a basement that was "somewhat habitable". My dad had the laundry area and the furnace area walled off with paneling. A ping pong table took up most of the remaining space, except for a cheap, vinyl, orange davenport and a television in the back corner. I basically lived down there from 1968 until 1972. Don't forget the name of the blog and the lyrics: "I was lying in a burned out basement With the full moon in my eyes. I was hoping for replacement When the sun burst throught the sky. There was a band playing in my head, And I felt like getting high." Back to my memory. I was watching "Mission:Impossible" and in the episode a lady pulled out a checkbook and started writing. On the signature line she wrote "K" and I said my mother's first name (and she wrote it). Then she wrote a "B." (my mom's middle initial),. Before she started the last name, I just knew that it started with a "G". Sure as shit, she wrote my last name!!!

I'll just leave this here...

"Government of the people, by the people, for the people"...

*** Stolen elections are nothing new. In 1960, JFK would never have gotten the nomination if not for "fixing" the WV primary. And don't get me started on the shenanigans in Illinois(Chicago) in the general! Just another reason that you will never see a Frank Sinatra song on MY blog!!! ;) ;) Speaking of Sinatra: When he first came on the scene, all the teens swooned over him. To me, he looked like a turtle who had lost his shell. Secondly, his style of singing was more like a "talking/singing patter", which never impressed me. And last but not least was his arrogance. But I guess you can do that, when enough people kiss your ass!!!

PULP FICTION - The Shepherd

Bring The Boys Home Freda Payne Sarah G (Bluezy Suzy)

I'm old enough to have had to (some what) sweat the Selective Service draft picks. The Vietnam War was winding down and eventhough I had dropped out of college several months prior, one just never knew when the "warmongering Deep State" would rear it's hungry head! Let me digress... My parent's best friends were Steve and Theo McCormick. Dad met Steve when they both worked for the Mutual Broadcasting network in Washington,D.C. Steve was the Whitehouse correspondent for Mutual. As the story goes, Steve was included in the selection of draftees in 1942. When he pulled out the birthdate, he exclaimed "Oh my, that's my birthday!"... Steve and my dad both served in WWII. Side note: Whenever I play "Six Degrees of Kevin Bacon", I'm pretty much a shoo-in for a low number. You see, Mr. McCormick was in the movie "It Happened To Jane", starring Doris Day and Jack Lemmon. BTW, I was a "shoo-in", when it came to the draft @ 364!!!

Happy birthday, douchebag!

Alice Cooper - "Selected" (Official Video)

I thought that I would be more upset with the results of the "selection", but to be honest with you, I'm not. I'm just too damn old to fight this evil world anymore. God help us all!
