Integrity Is The Name Of The Game.

Clapton @ 66.

Yesterday Was Raucous!

I am suffering the "brown bottle flu".
Yesterday I consumed 9.4 beers. I am hurting. The amazing part is that I consumed this amount everyday for about 5 years. Thank God I stopped! Thank God I'm still alive!

Here's me (two years ago)...

Here's hungover...

Here's raucous...

Cool Clip.

If I Don't Change The Pace, I Can't Face Another Day.

If you don't get the title, then you have not been listening for the last 43 months!

"We got your back!".

This one's for you, Bill.

The devils Got Their Due!

( Keith Richards on the song's message in 2002)

"You might as well accept the fact that evil is there and deal with it any way you can. Sympathy for the Devil is a song that says, Don't forget him. If you confront him, then he's out of a job".

Kick Ass "Rebel Yell" Cover!

From what I was able to discern, this is not a "satanic" band, but an "agnostic" band.

oh, this is so going on my blog!

This Blog Has Become An Obituary.

Elizabeth Taylor has no equal in my list of greatest actress of my time. This movie, with one of her husbands, may have been her autobiography.

Joseph William "Pinetop" Perkins

Passed away today in Austin, Texas at the age of 97.

Pleased 'N Contented!

It appears that the problem with my online banking situation was one of nomenclature.

I was unable to link both bank accounts because my checking account was listed under A. The Goldrush and my savings account was listed under After T. Goldrush.

It's all a "name game"!

Pissed 'N Chafed!

(I'm trying real hard,"Ringo"!)

Many, many years ago, I opened up a savings account with my "minor" daughter as a place to deposit her Christmas and birthday checks from relatives. I figured that by the time she was ready for college, she would have enough money to buy a few books and a parking voucher. Luckily for me, she had the grades and SAT scores to get a full and free ride at SU (and she could not even make a three-point basket!).
Last week, I went to my bank of almost 30 years and started the process of "On-line Banking" so I could link my checking and savings accounts to transfer funds without physically going to the branch. Now it appears that I can not link the two accounts as the savings account is under my daughter's SSN. I knew this already, as she has been claiming the interest on her tax returns for several years now. My name is also on the account and I have never had any trouble accessing the monies. The monies are mine, sans the small pittance of accumulated holiday checks.
I have never liked this "big" bank since they bought out the "smaller" bank that bought out the "tiny" bank that I started with in 1982.
Here is how it goes whenever I want to withdraw cash:
"Hello, Mr. Goldrush. How are you today? By the way, we will need to see some identification".
So, if I cannot link these accounts, I will be pulling all my monies out and taking my business to a "smaller" bank that really knows how to link the face at the drive-thru to the name on the check!

I Was There!

I was in Baltimore that weekend. The Orioles had taken both double-header games on Friday. I was at the game on Saturday that they won to set up the Sunday game that would extend their season. We lost to the Brewers 10-2, but that did not dampen the celebration that followed. I honestly thought that the stands on the third base side were going to collapse!

There's No Place Like Home.

Chickenstock LIVE 2011!

When: Saturday, September 24, 2011.

Where: Arthur W. Perdue Stadium, Salisbury, Maryland.

Why: To benefit the non-profit United Way of the Lower Eastern Shore.

What: All Day Music Festival.

Who: The Marshall Tucker Band, Creedence Clearwater "Revisited", America, Kenny Loggins and Dionne Warwick.

The prices start at $85 (throw in parking or cab fare, if they will be serving adult beverages, said adult beverages and food and you are talking well over a c-note.

That price (for me) is "too damn high"! Heck, I saw Bob Dylan in 1994 at the Civic Center for $26.50!

Granted, you are seeing 5 different artists, but not everyone's music tastes are that eclectic.

Dionne Warwick, to me, stands out like a sore thumb. I just don't see her followers and Marshall Tucker's followers downing a cold one together at a tailgate party in the parking lot. Even a Kenny Loggins/MTB pre-show get-together is questionable.

The only way that I would consider spending this kind of money is if John Fogerty were to miraculously reunite with CC"R" and play the venue.

That band was bangin' back in the day. I think that they had more #1 singles in a row (in 1968-69) then the Beatles in their prime.

EDITORS NOTE: I, however, have six months to win a ticket, so I may be in attendance(even though John Fogerty won't).

A Chincoteague Original.

A friend on facebook posted the link to a new radio station, WCTG/96.5FM. It is the type of radio that permeated the area back in the mid-seventies to mid eighties: AOR or Album Oriented Rock. The best part is you can listen to it on the web. It gives you the current song/artist "now" playing, plus the last few songs played. Man, this station is eclectic! Here is the current song playing.

{no} Icicles In My Meatloaf...[or Heaven] + 'the soundtrack for a 14 yr. old kid living in his parent's basement'.

Questions that I have asked myself today:

When the bank teller puts a ballpoint pen in the drive thru tube, am I supposed to take it?

Why was the clerk @ the MD. tax office so rude, yet the clerk at the IRS was so pleasant and helpful?

Why can't libraries in SBY and Delmar open before noon on Tuesdays and Thursdays?

Charlie's Side

This is a long (45:00) interview with Howard Stern. Two things: Howard Stern still does the best q & a's and Charlie Sheen does not seem crazy to me. He is living his life as he wishes. I pity anyone who isn't.

Hey...It's My Job!

I'm always looking for the best video of any particular song.
It may not always be the one with 1080p or volume that blasts your speakers off the side of your monitor.
A somewhat clear live version with adequate sound will always trump the above, if the artist(s) are having a very good night!

For example:

Best Laugh of the Day...

...goes to John Stamos and his Twitter remark:

"contrary to the rumors, i am not replacing charlie sheen on two and half men. however, martin sheen has asked me to be his son".
