I Love History!

This guy is great. He speaks as if he was actually there.

Really!!! Who wouldn't want to have been at this concert. I think that I want to retire and move to Sydney!!! Like yesterday!!!

A Hot Bed of Music; Relatively Speaking.

Almost two years ago, I stepped down as manager of my department for personal reasons. Kelly, my current boss, took over and we have worked together ever since. We get along well and when we are not talking about "work", we are talking about "life": my kid did this or my kid is going through that. I knew that her oldest child was in a band, but not until today did I know the name of the band: Petting Hendrix (the name came from the female lead singer's cat). Kelly's son is the bass player.

Several years ago, I worked with a girl named Crystal. Her brother was the lead singer in a band called Halflink.

In Memory of Duane Allman.

The first job that I ever had was at the Green Giant research farm in Hebron, Maryland in the summer of 1971. I still do not know what they were "researching", but my best bet would be that they were testing pesticides or fertilizers to find out which one gave them the best bang for their buck. I have not been diagnosed with cancer as of yet, so maybe the ill effects of their "researching" will never affect me. Hell, I grew up in a basement laden with asbestos, so I will not sweat the small shit!
When I got my first paycheck from the Jolly Green Giant, I immediately went to Drug Fair in the shopping center behind my house and purchased a small cassette player and my first cassette tape: LIVE AT THE FILLMORE EAST by the Allman Brothers. The following song is my favorite off the recording and perhaps showcases the best guitarist of all time.

Lenny is my friend Tim's best friend. He has many more videos on You Tube. I found this one to be very soothing.
I wonder if Lenny is related to a friend of my dad's from many years ago. His name was Bill. Same last name and I believe that he lived on the same street as Lenny. Maybe Tim will chime in here and answer the question.

Enjoy some soothing music!

God Rest Their Souls.

Remembering October 20, 1977.

It's Always Darkest Before the Dawn.

A Day in the Life

Yippee! I actually fixed an internet problem all by myself. Who needs Comcast Tech Support. Everything you ever needed to know is just a click away(when you know where to look for it).
I decided to stop taking my new meds after only 4 days. I actually felt worse than I did before. I don't think that I am any more depressed than the next guy. Hell, I think that the whole country is depressed! I think mostly that I am just bored. I need a change.
I may be getting that change in the next week or two. I applied for another management opening in the area. The store manager wants me, but he has to get my salary requirements o.k.'ed by his boss. I am not going to take "ownership" of a department without appropriate compensation. Maybe a few extra dollars in my pocket will cheer me up.
Now, if I can just do something about these frickin' gnats!!!

Words To Live By...

It is o.k. to have the blues from time to time. However, we must not lose sight of what is important in this thing we call life.
I will let Stevie Ray explain it to you. If you do not have enough time to listen to this guitar hero that shares my year of birth, then please do me a favor and listen to his words starting @ 5:28 into the video. I recommend the entire song, but that is just me!

Late Lament

Cold hearted orb
That rules the night
Removes the colors
From our site
Red is gray
And yellow white
But we decide
Which is right
Which is an illusion.

The Truth Behind Salisbury's Own "Chickengate"

I think the chicken gave somebody a "bad" coupon!
