Hey wait a minute; I am also a songwriter/very terrible guitar player...when trying to put this out on my acoustic bass just now I noticed the darkness, and message, of the lyrics of this song. Give me a call or email if you need a friend..Although I may subject you to David Allen Coe and Dexy's Midnight Runners to get a smile out of you. Keep your chin up my brother!!

No hidden message my friend. Actually, I am a little pissed off at our health care provider system. After being told that my mother's life expectancy was "hours or days" and that she would be best served at the Hospice at the Lake, they now are giving me two days to find her other accommodations. Why? Because they will no longer collect the $700+ a day from Medicare. What's a son to do?

Parsons Home is one of the few Assisted Living places that take medicare. My brother lives there and my friend Lenny's Mom was there for a good while.

Get a social worker to help you out, they know all the options before you jump.

If you get that notion, let me know and we can go visit my brother and you can ask him how he likes it there.

It's an old building, however it is a nice place. My brother is real picky about food too. He's 70.

He didn't have any money they take his Social security and medicare picks up the rest. He does get a small portion of his SS check for spending money.

Give me a call if you want, if you still don't have my #, I still have yours, let me know I'll call you.

Tim, I think that my mom needs more than assisted living at this point in time. I just got off the phone with Anchorage. They have space available and are working on the transfer. My mother made a comment years ago that she did not want to be placed in a nursing home. That is the main reason that I took her in 5+ years ago. I have honored her request up until now. Now it comes down to (in my mind)...any place but Genesis. That is where my brother was and they treated him like shit. Anchorage, then Waterview, was where my sister was 10 years ago. They comped her stay, as she was indigent.

It's none of my business RG, however being in Assisted Living and from what I hear, you may want to try Wicomico Bro, Anchorage isn't where I would place a family member.

I know it's hard trying to make these decisions under the stress, strain and timelines. Besides somebody telling you different. Just my two cents brother.

I appreciate any help and advice that I can get. Wicomico is booked solid and with a waiting list.
