Life Update(s)

(#1)
I had my "interview" that I spoke of yesterday. I have known the store manager for years, but I have never worked for him. Out of the 12 respondents, he chose 4 applicants to interview. He actually had a list of 20 questions that he asked me. It was akin to one of those internet personality quizzes. Q: What was the biggest failure in your life (and why)? A: Being a husband (It's not my daily chore to make someone else happy in life. That should come from within). Q: What was the biggest accomplishment in your life (and why)? A: Being a father (Have you met my daughter?!)
Some of the things that made me not want the job turned out to be hearsay. No, I did not have to work "open til close" several days a week to staff the department, nor was it impossible to ever get a weekend off. I could make the schedule as I saw fit, as long as "the work got done". As far as rate of pay goes, the company has a policy of only increasing a "step up" by 10-15%. I asked for 25%. If I am chosen, I will probably take it. I need to see some fresh faces anyway.

(#2)
I had my first doctor's appointment since last June. They had finally computerized their office and for some reason I was not in their files. The good news is that I had my best readings(BP,cholesterol and sugar level) in the last 10 years. Maybe I am de-aging(I wish)? And the fact that I sometimes get numbness in the last two fingertips on my left hand is NOT heart related NOR life threatening. It is NOTHING but a nuisance that I can live with.

Wanna' compare cholesterol readings for a free rice cake covered with a loss sauce: My good cholesterol is good...but my triglycerides/LCL are as high as the Evan's family's rent on Good Times...I'll show you mines if you shows me yours!! And, surprisingly, BOTH of my livers are functioning well despite my once a week gallon of sacramental merlot before vespers//Caps games.. ;)

My BAD is damn good and my GOOD is even better. My BP was 105 over 60 something. Heart rate under 70 at all times. Not too shabby for a guy that thought he was gonna meet his maker last summer with cumulative readings on the above of about 450!
All things in moderation is good!

My numbers were good the last time, however I do have a tendency to have a raging blood pressure. With high anxiety what do you expect?

Last time I went to the DR. my BP was great, the time before I left from work and when they took my BP they told me I had to go back out and sit for a while.

I can't just quit either, I don't like this executive end with no life after work. I was much happier when I was living paycheck to paycheck but getting the bills paid.

What good is money if you don't live to spend it, I feel the big one coimg on (Holding heart) "Look out Elizibeth, this is the big one I'm coming to see you honey~!"

No, it's LCL. He could not afford the Deluxe model.

Tim,
Drink 2 beers everyday. It has been proven to lower cholesterol and beer/wine in moderation is healthier than if you did not imbibe.
BTW, I am thinking about going out to Market St. tomorrow night to hear The Larks(Jazz?) and get a bite to eat beforehand. They start around 8:30. Any interest? Let me know and I'll give you a call. This invitation is open to Bill, Mere and Sean.

If you guys want any dietary advice, I'm an amateur nutritionist!

How do you explain my good health, when I subsist on a diet of Slim Jims and string cheese?

Complete luck, because that is just awful. Haha.

They do say reducing stress will reduce your BP though!

My Opp/Yeah-U No-Me is 308
My Triglycerdicatcusses are 238

I am actually now pissing bacon bits...but things have actually been worse to be honest...both of my livers and my 3 kidneys all seem to be OK...

And love the Larks...

My numbers are good, it's work that's killing me. I wish I could make it but we'll have to do a rain check.

I've gotten so I don't like the taste of beer anymore. I could do the red wine, I'm not crazy about it and know my limit would be two glasses.

I'm looking to reduce my stress Mere, it has to be the right job though. Single home owner, I need enough coin to pay the bills so I have to be selective.
